The Ultrafast Coherence Control and Imaging Research group is led by Professor Nanlin Wang. The team consists of eight full-time researchers. They aim to explore nonequilibrium and nonlinear effects of quantum materials under excitation by ultra-short laser pulses, investigate photoinduced new phenomena and ultrafast control of quantum states. They are also devoted to researching and constructing high repetition rate, ultra-broadband tunable ultrafast laser systems, generating intense midinfrared and terahertz pulses, building time-resolved infrared and terahertz spectroscopy, inelastic light scattering spectroscopy and other transient spectroscopy systems. They are additionally committed to the commercialization of relevant high-end scientific instruments.
